Bio:
Travel has always been a big part of my life. From planning family vacations with my dad to a high school trip to Norway with my mom, I have never tired of learning about and experiencing the world around me.
In college, I studied French and Spanish and went on to be a French and Spanish teacher. Over the years, I traveled with hundreds of students on tours to Europe and Quebec and enjoyed seeing their excitement and joy in experiencing something new for the first time. My passion for travel has taken me across the United States to Mexico, Europe, North Africa, and Israel.
I grew up in southwestern Minnesota. I attended the University of Minnesota, Morris, and spent time studying in France, student teaching in England, and completing an English language teaching assistant program in the Czech Republic. Upon graduation, I started teaching in Marshall, MN, where my husband and I met. We later moved to New Ulm, MN, where we have lived and raised four children. My husband and I have continued the tradition of an annual family vacation and have traveled with them across the US, to Canada, and to Europe.
Along with travel, I enjoy photography, hiking, reading, listening to live music, and spending time with loved ones. Outside of travel, I work for a nonprofit in marketing and educational programming.
